Friends and Foes

Nyx quickly followed them, reciting in her head how she would treat Lily. She would need a lot of Med-X. Thankfully, she had plenty. As they went down into the basement Nyx looked up to catch a glimpse at Rusty, who was firing away efficiently at raiders. His armor was quite dented and the girl knew he wouldn't have ammo forever. As soon as he ran out he would use his back up flamer weapons. She looked away, and descended into the basement.

Marcus sat Lily down on a table in the basement. The place was surounded and filled with food, water bottles, and medical and drugs gallor.
Marcus then looks at Nyx with hope in his eyes "Please save her..."

Her face was serious, as if she snapped back to her cold robotic personality. She quickly pulled out Med-X, super stimpaks, a bonesaw, tweezers, surgical tubing, and what looked like a metal poker with a flat end. First, she began carefully removing the excessively damaged tissue and any crushed bone. Seeing Lily stir in her unconscious state, she injected her with eight Med-X's, a nearly lethal dose to a normal human but just enough for a supermutant. After successfully cleaning up the damaged limb, she began smoothing the uneven areas of bone which had been crudely shot off. Considering Lily lost so much blood, she began to go into cardiac arrest. Nyx injected her with a couple of superstimpaks to stabilize her then began to seal off blood vessels and nerves. Her work was careful, but efficient. Lily's breathing was steady and her heartbeat was at a good pace. She then cut and shaped Lily's muscles so that the stump would be able to have an artificial limb attached to it if she so desired. After about an hour and a half of surgery, Nyx was done.

Within the hour and a half metus was up stairs fighting with Rusty and the remaining band of super mutants and nightkin.
"Come on boys there almost done!"
The bandits begin to retreat as the building begins to finally crumble under itself through the flames and debree. "Quick everyone to the basement Lets go!"
Metus was giving orders directing the super mutants and nightkin into the basement. "LETS GO RUSTY!" Metus yelled as he sprinted for the basement with the rest of his group of three nightkin and two super mutants. All run into the basement with Metus pulling Rusty rite behind him into the basement just in time for the lodge to collapse in on itself.

Nyx looked up from her work for a brief moment, but was much too consumed in caring for Lily to speak. She was cleaning up Lily's wound with water and disinfecting it with alcohol. She didn't even realize that her arm was still bleeding slowly behind the poorly wrapped bandage. She began to wrap Lily's stump as as the Nightkin stirred slowly. The girl took out another two Med-X's and injected them into Lily's bloodstream. This time not to knock her out, but to act as pain killers. Lily sat up slowly, groaning. "Lily, lay down. Everything's okay." Nyx said softly. She looked up at Metus and sighed. "She'll be fine as long as we keep the would disinfected. She stood up and touched his face softly, eyeing his burns. "Come here." she said softly, somewhat as a command.

Metus noticed her arm and wrapped his hand around hers "Not till you fix up your arm, your a little to important around here to be losing your arm to infection" he grinned slightly trying to make light of his injuries when all he could think was, Holy hell my head feels like it is on fire....
He then took a bottle of water and and rinsed the blood off the deep gash over his eye.

She looked at her arm and sighed. She undid the bandage, wincing slightly. "Ow..." she complained under breath. She washed the wound out then, biting her lip in the process, disinfected the cut with alcohol. "Mmmphhh!" she groaned at the stinging pain. She then wrapped another bandage properly around her cut and returned to Metus. Without speaking she pushed him down into a chair and filled a water bottle of cold water. She then began pouring the cool liquid onto the burns on his face, letting the water run gently.

"So do you get this close to all the guys you meet?" He grins as he squits from the shock of the cold on his burns. The rest of the super mutants and nightkin begin to eat and drink as they sit around relaxing and begin to fall asleep.

She blushed slightly at his question, but tried to keep her focus on the task at hand. "No." she said simply. "The last time I got close to someone..." she said softly. "It ended poorly. Since then I haven't really been around human company." She looked up and saw Rusty setting himself on rest mode next to Marcus. It appears he really took a liking to the supermutant. Careful not to break the blisters, she began to wash the burn gently with some soap and cool water. Luckily, none of the skin was charred.

He reached up and wiped the still dripping blood from his eye from the gash and looks into her eyes "Thats too bad, your a wonderful women" he smiles at her as his silver lined white eyes met hers.

Her cheeks turned red as she broke the eye contact when she began to bandage the burns. She then turned her attention to the gash above his eye. She washed the cut and disinfected it. Without speaking she walked to her bag and took out a needle and thread. "What about you?" she said softly as she began to stitch up his cut.

He chuckled and winced at the same time as she began to sew his above his eye "Not since I was a teenager, I spent alot of time wandering..." his face reveals a sorrow " a place of acceptance..." He looks up at her as she Sews and smiles at her again even managing it through the pain.
The treatment hurts more then the injury! he thought as his smile somehow still shined through the pain.

Nyx was surprised... A handsome young man like Metus would surely have tons of women wanting to be consorted. She wasn't sure if she fully believed him. Noticing him wincing, she stopped. "Do you want some Med-X to dull the pain?" she asked.

He flexed his chest playfully "What pain?" then he winced again and laughed lightly "maybe a light does" he smiled at her, almost like she was a magnet, he couldn't take his eyes off her. He watched her every move, every detail of her body he studied...
Is there somthing wrong with me? She beautiful, what would she want with me? She can do better? Why am i doubting myself?

She smiled and chuckled softly, "Alright. A small dose of Med-X coming right up." She opened her bag and took out a Med-X syringe. "1...2...3..." she counted, before she stuck him with the needle, injecting the painkiller. "It should kick in very quickly." she said as she covered the needle with a cap and disposed of it.

He smiled as it kicked in and he looked around noticed everyone was sleeping
Should I? he thought to himself as he blushed a little.
"So uhm.. I hope my dancing wasnt to horrid earlier" He chuckled.

She laughed nervously and shook her heard. "Not at all." she said with a shy smile. When she was finished patching Metus up she yawned and rubbed her eyes. Damn, I'm exhausted... she thought sleepily.

He stood up and layed out his duster on the floor holding the arms into a pillow and waves his hand to it while looking at Nyx "Why dont you catch some sleep?" He smiles softly "its been a rough day."

"Thank you." she said, smiling sleepily. She laid down and stretched then looked up, watching him silently.

he sat back in the chair drinking a water bottle and begins eating a fancy lad meal. He turns to her and smiles "Sleep well" and continues eating.

She wanted to ask him something, but she couldn't manage to summon up the courage to say anything at all. Instead she closed her eyes and drifted off into sleep.

Metus finally decided that he needed to sleep after finishing his meal. He grabbed a Dr.s bag off the wall as a pillow and then fell asleep a few feet away from Nyx, smiling at her sleeping and drifts to dream land.
