Abnormal Kindred

Metus began to walk silently as if to say she knew what he would do for the information he wanted. "We got a lot of ground to cover"

He better not get us all killed with that temper. We need a plan. she thought to herself silently as they walked.

He continued walking as he spoke up "What was Golf before the war?" He asked to try to make conversation.

"It was a House Resort with a golf course that belonged to Robert House." she replied without taking time to think. "I'm sure you know who Mr. House is." she added giving him a small smile.

"The rich old bastard that sits in his tower on the strip.. Ya I know who the old asshole is..." He spouted out his words in a disappointed tone, "He could do so much for the Mojave and yet he does nothing but sit in that tower... The doc once tried to get him to support our research into super mutants and nightkin but never had any luck" He sighed...

Nyx shrugged. "What do you expect? He has been alive since before the war, allegedly. He doesn't really care for anyone. Unless they are spending their caps in his casinos."

"Its shitty is what it is... With all that damn money and tech you would think he could spare parts..." he pushed his shades tighter to his face and then reached in his pocket and pulled a small metal case out in surprise "no... way!" a grin then gre on his face as he opened the case and looked inside it.

"What?" she asked curiously. She peeked over to see what he was so happy about. Adam looked too, his childish curiosity less discreet than Nyx's.

His grin stretched across his face bigger as he pulled out one of the 12 cigars in the case "A black leaf tight wrap whiskey soaked" he then runs the cigar under his nose takin in a deep smell "green tobacco cigar" he put the case away and lit one up talking with it in his mouth "I don't remember ever buying these" blows two smoke rings.

Nyx looked away and sighed. "Though it might not be harmful to you, cigar smoke still effects those who breathe it around you." she said softly as she walked slightly ahead of him to stay clear of the smoke. She couldn't help but think she kinda liked the smell...Like I'd ever admit that. she thought silently.

Adam looked up at Metus with admiration. "Whoa...it's big." he said curiously eyeing the cigar.

Metus looked down with a grin "when your older we'll get ya one." he chuckled as he then exhaled blowing the smoke out his nose. "So how long do we have before we get there?" He smiled with the cigar still in his mouth.

Nyx rolled her eyes, but she was too far ahead for Metus to see. "About a day and a half if we don't make any stops. Personally, I think for us it will be doubled." she replied, smiling a bit. "My curiosity and your 'let's charge into battle' mentality will surely make this trip a bit longer."

Metus then ehailed a bigger puff of smoke out of his nose as he scoghed and muttered, "I don't always charge head on..." looked down as the cherry of his cigar lit up bright again.

"Yeah, okay." she replied sarcastically with a giggle.

Metus rolled his eyes, not that you could see him do so.
Hours passed as they continued to walk all seemed silent and calm. This is odd, there should be deathclaws around... or bandits at that, its too quiet...
He looked around and threw the stub left of hiss cigar on the ground. He started twitching slightly and nervously as he kept looking.

Nyx was walking behind Metus now, feeling equally nervous. "Do you feel that?" she whispered to him, glancing around.

Metus squinted ahead and then threw Adam behind him as he drew his sword and revolver "Bandits...." He readied for battle but, this didnt seem like a typical bandit, he seemed injured to be fleeing from something. "Uhmm... Nyx, does that guy look ok to you?" His stand relaxes as he looks ahead.

"What do you mean?" she responded as she readied her gauss rifle. She squinted in the darkness and watched the limping man frantically running. "He looks hurt, doesn't seem like he wants to attack us."

Metus twirled his revolver into the holster but kept his sword drawn and began to walk over to the bandit, the bandit then collapsed in front of Metus and looked up.
"Please sir, have mercy... Up ahead... there's...." the bandit grips his side moaning in pain and then passes out.
"Well that was eventful" his face concerned as he knelt down and looked over to Nyx "What do you think is ahead?"

Nyx glanced down at the bandit and knelt down beside him. "His hands are bound." she said as she rolled him over. "Gun shots in the back, he'll bleed out within the hour." Nyx sighed and look over at Metus. "Might as well put him out of his misery. It's too dark for me to perform any medical treatment on him."

Metus removed his shades and made sure Adam was looking away as he lifted his blade and cut off the bandits head quick and painless.
"Poor bastard..." His practically glowed in the dark as he starred ahead "Legion?" He questioned as he turned to Nyx.

Nyx winced as she watched Metus put the bandit out of his misery. She sighed and looked up ahead. "Campfire." she said, staring into the darkness. "Probably a Legion camp. They might have captures."

Metus sighed and stood up, "and you want to go in and save the day?" he grinned

Nyx blushed, she hoped it was dark enough for him not to notice. "Well...yes. No one should be a slave."

He sighed "well then how do you wanna go about this?" he starred through the darkness at her with a grin as he lit up his cigar. "Adam you stay here with rusty, we are gonna need stealth." takes a drag and the cherry lights up bright throught the darkness.
